One of the first tunes I wrote, here it's presented in a new contemporaryarrangement. Smile! Is the synthesis of my music language made mostly of simple melodies and groove . Max Ionata plays a wonderful solo on this tune. Proud to record with this jazz band.

This Tune is dedicated to guitarist Dean Brown, a musician who has given me a lot both musically and morally. He has guided me through many musi- cal challenges and has always encouraged me to "raise up" the goals to reach.

Reflects a change in my life, the huge decision to leave my previous job andplunge into the music world because just dunking your feet is simply not enough. After nearly 20 years spent working as consultant and businessman I decided to leave my job and dedicate myself to music. I had to move very fast to make up for lost time. I had to concentrate hard, avoiding anything that could have distracted me from my goals.
On this tune, my friend and buddy in many jazz bands , Alessandro Fariselli, blows a great solo on his tenor Saxophone.
TRACK 4 - BUENA SUERTE (Luca di Luzio) - 4:42
Luca di Luzio - Guitar
Max Ionata - Tenor Saxophone
Jimmy Haslip - Electric Bass
Dave Weckl - Drums
George Whitty - Keyboards
This is a ballad I wrote on a plane a few years ago whilst flying to Bostonto see my close friend Garrison Fewell. Buena Suerte is the hope for a better future, for good luck , for people who, like me, never give up!

Jazz Band:
Luca di Luzio - Guitar
Max Ionata - Tenor Saxophone
Jimmy Haslip - Electric Bass
Dave Weckl - Drums

Two melodies chasing a 12/8 feel. Two melodies becoming a single melody in the bridge. I wrote this tune recently starting with a phrase takenfrom an Emily Remler solo. Transcribing constantly influences my wayof writing music.
TRACK 6 - SUNSHOWER (KENNY BARRON) - 4:42
Luca di Luzio - Guitar
Max Ionata - Tenor Saxophone
Jimmy Haslip - Electric Bass
Dave Weckl - Drums
George Whitty - Keyboards
A Kenny Barron tune I used to play with Marco Tamburini. I like to re- member Marco playing this song and I feel his tone in my heart every time I play it.
TRACK 7 - POP FLA (LUCA DI LUZIO) - 4:42
Luca di Luzio - Guitar
Max Ionata - Tenor Saxophone
Jimmy Haslip - Electric Bass
Dave Weckl - Drums
George Whitty - Keyboards
My passion for Latin music, tradition and swing all together in one. Here George Whitty and Dave Weckl build an incredible harmonic and rhythmic scenario. I wrote this tune a couple of years ago in Florida yet I still consider it's jazz from Italy. Because that's where the heart is.
TRACK 8 - NAIMA (JOHN COLTRANE) - 4:42
Luca di Luzio - Guitar
Max Ionata - Tenor Saxophone
Jimmy Haslip - Electric Bass
Dave Weckl - Drums
George Whitty - Keyboards
This is one of my favourite standards, I have been playing it for about 20 years. I have reharmonized the theme in chords and changed the original tone in order to use open strings on Guitar .
